Matariki letter

Dear Charlotte this is what I've learnt about Matariki.

Matariki is the Maori name for a small cluster of stars known as the Seven sisters or the Pleiades.

Matariki is a time to remember those who passed.

Maori string patterns were used to illustrate the stories of the stars.

Maori tribes commemorated Matariki at various times of the year.
