Tech

Today for tech I did sewing and cooking.

For sewing I got some of my beanie sewed up, the other part I had to do I didn't because it was confusing and I don't know how to sew. Most of the time the teacher helps me. The design I am putting on mine is still a donkey, I was going to put a donkey and barney on it but I decided not to.

For cooking we made salad in a jar. We were allowed to put egg and pasta in but I didn't want it. Towards the end we had to put a salad dressing in it. I chose a random one and it didn't taste good, if I didn't have the dressing it would have been alright. If I had the choice to make it again I would but without the dressing. My table group finished first again, and we did our jobs we had to do.

Fractions

 Here is what we have been learning in maths. It is different ways to make a whole.

Maths

For maths today we had to do this thing about fractions. It's not really a clear photo but it just gives an idea.

Tech

Today for tech we got new classes to go to. I am still doing sewing but I am also doing cooking.

For sewing we are making a beanie, for our design me and Kirsten are both doing the donkey from Shrek to put on the beanie. The teacher said we aren't going to do much book work which is good. Sewing is still my least favorite class, that is one of the reasons why I don't like going to tech because I hate sewing it's still very boring.

For cooking we made quesadillas. My table group put too much onion in ours, but I was the one that put the least amount but still a lot. We got told to put kidney beans on but I didn't because I don't like them. My table group was the fastest group done, we got our food done, table wiped down and dishes done while everyone was still making their food.

I like the fact that we are doing cooking so then we get to make food.

100 questions

Today in 100 questions I got 100% my time was 4 minutes 57 seconds. I improved a lot from last week  I was 2 minutes and 28 second earlier than last time. I achieved my goal from last time because my goal was to get under 5 minutes and I did. My goal for next week is to get under 4 minutes or to get 2 sheets done in 10 minutes.

Maths

In my maths group we are learning about divisibility rules. We are learning the rules for 2,3,5,9,10.

The 9's and 3's are a bit confusing but other than that it is going good. This is the rules for 2, if a number ends with an even number or 0 it can be divisible by 2. The rules for 5 are if a number ends in a 0 or 5 it can be divisible by 5. The rules for 10 is if a number ends in 0 it can be divisible by 10.

I need to focus on learning the 9's and 3's so it isn't as confusing.
Here is a few examples 1820 would be divisible by 2 because the number ends with a 0
2562 would also be divisible by 2 because the last number is an even number.

  

My journal - day 2

For mine and Zara's logo we decided to make another logo because we couldn't think of a name for our other one. Our new design is create your own donut. So what it is, you get a kit, a few donuts and a bunch of different candies like m&ms, skittles, sprinkles, chocolate etc. It comes with 3 different flavors of icing. I think this idea is a good idea because we really just need to think of a name for it.

My journal - Day 1

For literacy we have to make a logo/advertisement for the logo . I am working with Zara and what we are making is shoes that you can design/colour yourself. If you buy 2 kits then you get a free pair of white socks. We haven't figured out a name yet.

Tech

Tech was so boring like it usually is. It was the last session for this term, the classes I did was mechatronics and sewing.

It was the mechatronics teachers last day, all we did in that class was code robots on a board like we did last week. Mechatronics is probably the funnest class I did this term. Some people accidentally broke the robots but they are made of lego so they go back together.

Sewing was SO BORING it is still my least favorite class. I am in sewing again next term. In that class I hadn't finished my bag because I don't know how to sew and the teacher hardly ever helped me. The bag we had to make had to have an environmental message on it, my one was about saving the bees. I still haven't finished my bag but the teacher said she will finish it for me because I am in that class again.


My next classes is as well as sewing cooking.

I hope next week isn't as boring.

100 questions

Today for 100 questions I got 100% in 6 minutes 31 seconds. I achieved my goal from last week because I got under 8 minutes. This weeks goal is to get 5 minutes or under. I like doing these 100 question tests because they are fun and it makes me feel more confident when doing them.
